In 2020, China's coal tar industry will achieve a production capacity of approximately 36.77 million tons, of which: high-temperature coal tar production capacity is 26.27 million tons, compared with the previous year. Basically the same; the production capacity of medium-temperature coal tar is 10.5 million tons.

In 2021, China's coal tar production price will rise to 4,476 yuan/ton, an increase of 1,651 yuan/ton compared with 2020.

However, the production and processing of coal tar is relatively scattered, lack of deep processing, and there are problems of backward processing technology, environmental pollution and waste of a lot of resources.
